Versa Lite Disconnecting From App and Bluetooth Not Syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a Versa Lite that I love. However, recently I have found that the watch is not staying connected to the app.

If it does completely die, I have to delete my fitbit app and log back in. Then I have to sync it all over again, which it doesn't always want to do. Sometimes it will pop up and say "error can't find fitbit."

It is extremely inconvenient to have to delete the app over and over again in order tk be able to get my notifications on my fitbit. That's why I upgraded to this watch in the first place.

Does anyone have solutions? I have tried shutting my fitbit down while also logging out of the app and then logging back in with it on. I also checked to make sure I have the most up to date software on it. Nothing seems to solve the issue and it is completely random when it does decide to stop syncing.

Seems like this is a common issue. Possibly due to a recent update for iPhones, if it was working before.

In which case its probably best to inform Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.

I have an android device so the iPhone update wouldn't be the issue.

Thats good, it may be resolvable.

First thing to try, which avoids deleting the app

In Android phone Settings *

Apps

Fitbit

Storage - clear cache [not data]

Force Fitbit shutdown

[though it doesn't seem to fully]

Log back in to the Fitbit app

*Quick Shortcut: Press and hold the Fitbit launch icon, then App info [on some phones]

if your watch loses sync then it could be an optimisation issue, try

On the phone check battery optimizations [the options may be different in your version]

  • First go to Settings > Apps & Notification > Special app access
  • Click on Battery optimization
  • Now press the drop down menu [...] and select “All Apps
  • Click on Bluetooth and then select “Don’t optimize
  • Same with Fitbit

Also do the previous clear cache operation after the change.
