I would like to see Fitbit show some honesty and integrity when putting apps on their watches.
A key factor influencing the purchase of a Versa Lite was that it included a swim app that displayed in the watch, "lengths, time, and calories." My husband bought it for my December birthday. Since I am an outdoor swimmer, I could not use the app until the weather broke and the water warmed. When I tried it in July, I found that it could not do what it said in the watch. As a matter of fact, I could not even shut off the app by pushing the finish flag as in the other apps! I had to shut off the watch!
On July 5, I contacted Fitbit and I was told that they were aware of the problem and the engineers were working on this "hot issue." I waited patiently for a software update and when none were provided, I contacted them again in September. The initial September contact person repeated the same "hot issue" comment and assured me again that the engineers continued to work on it.
When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she told me that the watch was not capable of running the swim app!
Why would a company, especially one that is supposedly customer oriented, put a non-functioning app on there watch??????? Or perhaps an app on a watch that was not capable of running it?????
