My Versa Lite stopped working. Initially, the Versa screen went dead, however, the light sensors on the bottom of the device would light up and the device would vibrate occasionally. However, within a week, the device has gone completely dead with no sensor lights illuminating and no vibration. Since the screen is dead,I can’t try any of the usual recommended fixes such as resetting it or opening up specific apps. I’ve tried cleaning the charging ports and sensors, and holding in the button for 10 seconds, 45 seconds, and longer, but nothing happens.
Ive had the device for 1 year and 2 months when this happened...just long enough for the warranty to expire. If the watch can be fixed (which I doubt it can based on other posts on here) I now have to decide if I want to invest in another Fitbit watch and risk the seemingly common occurrence of having my watch die again after 1 year, or buy a Samsung or Apple Watch. This is really inexcusable for a device to die after only 1 year. I have read the owner’s manual twice and take care of the watch really well, following the recommended guidelines so for it to suddenly die is unexplainable.

The screen still doesn’t work but the watch does occasionally vibrate, like when I plug it in to the charger,...so it does charge but the screen is dead. I called the customer service line and they were able to run a diagnostic on it. They later sent me an email notifying me they were unable to repair the watch. I will buy a new watch but, for obvious reasons, I doubt it will be a Fitbit. If they offered better support, my incentive to buy another Fitbit would be higher. ‘Better luck next time’ doesn’t exactly inspire confidence for my next smart watch purchase.
