I have updated everything. Rebooted, restarted, re-synced, changed clock, I still cannot swipe in any way. I essentially have a watch that sometimes tells me the time.. if the tap works. Any other advice? Contacted customer service and never heard anything back.

I am having the exact same problem. Rebooted, left charging, updated and no word back from customer service.
