Versa Lite battery issues

I've only had my Versa 2 for barely a year. I've noticed that I have to charge it every other day. I charge it overnight and always to 100%. I've also noticed that it turns off frequently for no reason.  Last night, as I removed it from my wrist, it was off. I hooked it up to the charger and it still wouldn't turn on. I take it off of the charger this morning, it still won't turn on and it's very hot. In holding the button to turn it on, nothing.  It seems like when I get close to having a fitbit for 1 year, it stops working.  This is my 4th fitbit in 4 years. I haven't had this fitbit in water ever.  What is going on?
