I was wearing my Fitbit and the screen just broke off the device. It’s just hanging on to device by the electronics. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

There are quite a few posts where people have reported this issue. It seems there is no option to prevent or repair it. However, if you are still within warranty you should be eligible for a replacement. I suggest contacting customer support via contact.fitbit.com They can check your warranty status and advise on your options.
