@SunsetRunner what are these references to a win 10 referring to?
I can't think of anything with the Versa lite that can not be done through a phone.

If you brick your Versa Lite, you'll need a Windows 10 laptop to re-install the firmware.

Find a friend, sibling, etc. who has one and you can fix your Versa Lite. It requires a Windows 10 laptop. Basically, it involves stopping Fitbit on your phone, then set up the Fitbit app on my Win 10 laptop.. After that you connect the USB charger to the USB port on my laptop. Use laptop Bluetooth to pair Fitbit with the Win 10 laptop. and then start the update from within the WINDOWS 10 app (not the phone app).

The Versa light can not communicate through the USB cable. The only thing a user can do is by plugging in the charging cable is to charge, restart, or factory reset the tracker. This can be done with any power source.
If support asked you to restart the device, and it hasn't powered on, then support should be responsible.

My fitbit Versa - Not Lite Edition has frozen since I was asked to update my software. This is over 12 hours ago. I have tried plugging it in to the computer and it was in Wi Fi and charging when I attempted the update. It is now frozen on the Fitbit Logo - Help me please. I use my Versa everyday.

I was so happy to have the watch working I didn’t realize the firmware wasn’t updated till the next day. I was planning on borrowing the same Win10 laptop to do the firmware but you’re saying the firmware still isn’t going to take? Did you try and have to reset it again? I’m not going to ask the favor of borrowing the laptop if it is a waste of time. Thanks in advance for the advice.

What is it about factory resets that is so bad? I reset mine at least 3 times and never had an issue with it. Also mine is working now.

after the resets both have a red X and say data not synced. No matter what I try it will do nothing.
