My Versa lite is brand new, and I don’t think I’m using it properly. It is not counting any of my steps. At all. Can anyone explain how to fix this? And talk to me like I’m a technology **ahem**, because I kinda am.

@Msfyrcracker, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa Lite is not tracking your steps.
Please restart your Versa Lite as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page which explains how your Fitbit device tracks your stats.
Finally, monitor your watch and see if your Versa Lite tracks your steps and stats properly.

your instructions on how to restart the fitbit are sorely lacking. Do i press and hold the button or what?
Anyway that's what I did. No improvement on counting steps. This is my fourth fitness tracker and by far the most expensive. It doesn't count steps???? Are you kidding???
