My versa lite shuts down for no apparent reason, if i am scrolling through different screens, or just while wearing it. To restart it i have to it in charging mode in the charger. Very frustrating, if i wake up at night to check time ond its not responding, it just shut itself down.

Hi @ahosein - the watch may have developed a fault, check it is simply not running out of battery.
If the watch got wet, one of the symptoms can be a short battery life. Button not working can be another.
It can also be a clock face problem so try changing clock face from the Gallery tile in the Fitbit App or using the Clocks app on the watch.
If the battery life between charges is still good, sync the watch and do a full Shutdown from the watch Settings, About Versa menu.
Place on charge to restart it.
As a last resort a factory reset (not without risk) may be needed if the watch is not damaged.

Hi there, @ahosein. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa Lite is still not working properly. I understand how frustrating this can be, we're here to help!
I agree with @Guy_. However, before considering the factory reset, please make sure you've restarted your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
We'll be around if you need further help!

@ahosein - first can you please clear all notifications from the watch as this can cause a restart each time you get a notification in some cases. It is possible you may not be able to and a factory reset would be required if you can't.
If necessary you'll find the factory reset in the watch Settings, About Versa Lite menu.
It is a good idea to make a note of the names of any clocks or apps and any special watch or app settings you use before the reset.
Charge it and Sync first then start the reset and wait 5 minutes for it to complete.
Once you get the startup display (if it worked ) you will need to set it up again in the Fitbit App. If you can add more devices choose your watch and replace.
If that works keep all standard defaults until you are sure it is working properly, if it does.

I did a factory reset and so far it seems to be working fine. I believe my software needed updating but I have not found any messages or links or whatever to allow me to update my software. By doing a factory reset, the latest version was installed. I think this may have been the problem. I will come back in about a week ant let you all know if the issue has been resolved. Thanks again !
