Versa Lite logging steps when not in use

I haven't worn my Versa lite in over a week. It's been in a basket that holds towels, on its its charging base. Imagine my surprise when I grab it today and see it has logged over 12,000 steps each day for the past week. Today, I put it on for the first time in a week. While sitting at my kitchen table, it gave me the notification that I hit 20,000 steps. To answer the usual questions, the basket wasn't near anything with vibrations, I did a hard reset on my Fitbit, and uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my phone. Anyone else have this issue?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Izzysgirl77.

I am sorry to hear your Versa Lite is counting steps when not in use. Thanks for trying to resolve this, I appreciate the additional details and I am here to help. Since the steps you tried didn't work, I've gone ahead and escalated your case to our Support team, for them to take a deeper look at this. Please keep an eye on your inbox.

By the way, I've moved your post to Versa Smartwatches board so we can keep our forums organized.
