Versa Lite not updating

I am so frustrated with my Versa Lite. It kept restarting itself a couple times an hour so after looking online I did a factory reset and am trying to add the device back, but when it starts adding I get to about 13% and it stops. The device will even show up on the app still and say there’s a new update so I tried that and still it gets to 13% and fails. How do I fix this?

@Kyla16 You can set up the device using your computer. Please take a look at this article

To factory reset using the back button:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

If you're not successful with the factory reset, I am afraid you will need to reach out to Customer Support to guide you through the next steps. Here's the link to Customer Support page.

@Kyla16 Have you tried rebooting Versa and your phone, putting Versa in the charging dock, and restarting the whole process? If this does not help, you might want to try:

  • factory resetting Versa again and trying to set up
  • installing fitbit mobile app on different device (tablet, other mobile), pairing with it and waiting until the update downloads onto it, then installing

Thank you for the reply. I tried deleting the app and the device from the app and starting from scratch, but that has gotten me nowhere. I can’t factory reset again because my Fitbit just flashes the start up screen.
and unfortunately I don’t have another device that I can download the app onto to try that 😡

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried setting up my Fitbit on a tablet and that failed as well. I’ll have to give customer service a call one of these days and hopefully they can help
