Versa Lite notifications won't vibrate

My phone is Huawei y7 2019 but I can 0get test notifications although it doesn't vibrate, any idea why I can get test call but no notifications. I know my device isn't on list of devices for receiving them but it seems really odd that I can get test calls?

Think fitbit scammed users a bit as you can only use functions advertised if you have a certain phone so no Spotify no notifications.

Hi there @Fragrant12, thanks for stopping by. I apologize for the late response. I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this situation. I'll be glad to help you with your notifications on your Versa Lite.

As you know your Huawei Y7 is not yet included in our list of supported devices. You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

If you're on an Android device and you're not getting the Always Vibrate option, this might be that the notifications did not set up correctly after upgrading from the Charge 2 to Charge 3.

If you've not done so, I'd suggest to try the following:

1. Remove the old device from the Bluetooth settings.
2. Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use.
3. Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
4. Setup your notifications on Charge 3.

If the issue persists, I'd recommend setting up your notifications again:

  • Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  • Open the Fitbit app
  • Tap on Account > Charge 3 > Notifications
  • When a pop-up with a "Bluetooth Pairing Required" message, tap on Set Up and continue.
  • A new "Bluetooth Pairing Request" will appear, tap on Pair to continue
  • Once in the Notifications menu, enable the ones you'd like to receive.
  • Go to your phone Settings > Notifications > Fitbit and make sure all the options are enable to receive notifications.

Let me know how it goes, I'll be around.
