Versa Lite only shows most recent text

My Versa Lite has, for the past few months at least, only been showing me the most recent text message I have received, even if I haven't read or seen more than one. It's frustrating because if I get several in a row, it only shows the last one. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi @RebeccaWL, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device you're currently using with your Versa Lite? When was the first time you experienced this? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check: How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? to see that all the necessary requirements to receive notifications on your Fitbit are correctly configured and to try some troubleshooting steps.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Ricardo,

I use a Samsung S7. This has been happening for a while, at least a few months. I know my notifications are set correctly to receive,  every so often I do a test to make sure there isnt something wrong. Plus it worked for years and then just stopped (I would guess it likely coincided with an update). For example,  yesterday my family was texting about a time to video chat and 4 texts came in within a minute of each other by 4 different people. I felt the buzz on my watch 4 times but when I went to check the watch only the last text was visible and when I marked it as read it said I was all caught up...

Your reply is appreciated @RebeccaWL.

Thanks for the details that were shared in your post, seems odd that you're experiencing such difficulties with your device and your Samsung S7. This could be related to the Fitbit app rather than the device itself, therefore, I recommend you to troubleshoot the app following the next steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Let me know if further assistance is needed.

I have taken the steps you recommended and unfortunately it seems to have exacerbated my challenges.  I still only see the most recent text message (via Messages+) no matter how many I have, and now, anytime my Fitbit disconnects from my phone, I have to restart my phone (which I never had to do before) - in the past, I could just force stop of the app and re-open it.  Now, I have to do that and restart my phone.  Any other recommendations short of sending the watch back for a replacement (which wouldn't be the first time)?
