Versa Lite screen has gone pixelated

I have a versa lite that is just over a year old, a few weeks ago the battery life was only lasting a few hours....so I turned it off cleaned the back as directed on the forums, charged it.  Then the screen was just pixels of the fitbit icon.  Missing my watch!!! Help!!!

I did try that this morning again, after letting the fitbit charge all night.  It turns on but screen is still pixelated.
