I bought a new smartphone the day before & tried an initial setup. It could not find the device no matter how many times reset phone, versa lite, or toggle Bluetooth & location settings. My fix was setup via Window 10 app on desktop. Setup at the desktop bluetooth then synced up getting setup info to transfer to new phone. Eventually after some more; restarting app on phone several times - Versa Lite finally listed in Bluetooth; after getting notice about setting up as "trusted device." Tested Versa Lite after that with desktop shut off and can sync up on my new Blu G6 smartphone. I suspect connectivity issues on devices with android or greater have to do with "trusted device protocol" compatibility issues. Thought I post this here for information largely. Have not noticed whether or not SMS or call notifications work as of yet; but not counting on it on Blu G6 - widget somewhat works.

Your phone is not on the Approved Devices list so may work for some functions and not others.

Your list of approved devices should not so limited. And it should work on all android 7 & greater for setup and syncing – call & message notifications is understandable. That’s a bit deceptive to sell as “android compatable only to find out afterwards. This reply “cop out” the device should still setup and sync. In original post; stated how I got around it. A “non supported” device” should only have problems with notification from smartphone applications such dialer/calls, calendar, & SMS messaging and maybe the widget– NOT SETUP and/or SYNCING! I am on fixed income and I can’t a lot of money for topline device to get all the features. Basic setup & syncing should work fine. The Versa Lite failed setup/sync without go around through Windows 10 version of application. After repeated app restarts on my new android finally received “trusted device options” and then it showed up in device “Bluetooth” devices.
