Versa Lite stopped receiving notifications

Had my Versa Lite for about 6 months now, all was working up until a couple of ago. My problem is that I have re-start my phone every-time I sync my Fitbit in order to get notifications through it.  Have tried the following steps

1- Reinstalled the app about 7 times now,

2 - Made sure that my always sync button is on

3 - Manually pressed the sync button 

4 -   Always made sure  Fitbit has charge. 

5- My bluetooth and wifi are and switched on

6- The only device I have linked to my blue tooth is my Fitbit 

 The phone I am using is an Huawei p20 pro I have checked and phone is fully supported with the app.

I have restart my phone at least 5 times a day and it is quite frustrating. I know should not be the case,  can anyone please help.
