Versa Lite stopped tracking sleep

My sleep tracker was working perfectly, but the last two days it isn't giving me any information. I have current heart rate information and the watch is synced. I have only had it two weeks, should I exchange it or is there an easy fix?

  • I have uninstalled the app multiple times and re-paired the devices multiple times. I have also turned off and on the blue tooth.

Hi @Lexington262. Welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry for the delayed response.

Thanks for reporting the sleep tracking issues and I'm glad that your watch is syncing and recording your heart rate. You've done a wonderful job with the troubleshooting steps, so let's work on this together. There are a few factors that may prevent your watch from recording sleep:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your watch from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For better results, wear your watch and about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone making sure it's not too tight or loose.
  • If you used the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app.
  • If you slept for less than 3 hours.
  • If your watch's battery is critically low.

If those conditions don't apply to you, please give a try to the following steps:

  1. Make sure your watch and the Fitbit app are updated to the latest version.
  2. On your Versa Lite, swipe to the left > open the Settings app and turn off the heart rate function.
  3. Restart your watch to correct any misbehavior.
  4. Turn back on the heart rate function and sync with the Fitbit app.
  5. Wear it on your non-doming hand for one night and monitor its behavior.

I'll be around, keep me posted.

I’m having problems with sleep being recorded accurately on my Versa Lite.  It works for a few nights and then only records a few hours when I know I’ve slept well.  It’s very frustrating.  I’ve tried all the suggestions on this forum.  Any other ideas?  I’m pretty annoyed about this as monitoring my sleep is important to me.  I replaced my flex 2 with the versa lite thinking it would be better but this issue spoils it for me.  Help!!  Jintygs
