I've come to find out that Fitbit's business model includes taking advantage of their customer base after a through research online. I wish I did this prior to purchasing my watch, which did fail Sept 11, 2020 but I was under a warranty and had it replaced since I bought it in May 2020.
I've come to find out ALL Fitbit's have a lifespan of 1-2 years on purpose. They then offer you a discount on another model if you happen to call past the one year warranty.
I personally find this practice unacceptable and offensive really. I take good care of all of my things and expect them to last. The ONLY reason why I bought a fitbit was to join in my cousin on challenges, but hers died just as I bought one. I use it for time keeping and steps. That's pretty much all I do with watches. I'm more of an analog watch/pedometer person (I still have my analog watch from when I was 16 and I'm 43 now...never failed me except for battery replacements).
I'm glad I bought a cheap Versa Lite, my first fitbit product. It was a lilac color, replaced by one called "mulberry," reminiscent more of a Barney-hued purple. It also will be my last one. I don't expect the Fitbit company to last with their current business practices.
I myself have zero need for a smart watch. I'll keep this one and then go back to the "old" reliable ways.

I have only had 1 tracker fail and it was during the warranty period. I am still using the original Aria scale without issue.
If you Google this you will find a ton of dissatisfied customers. What you won't find is the majority of customers that never had a problem. Why? Because they have no reason to post. Try it with another product and see what you get.

No, not interested in techy watches or another fitbit. This is my first and last one.
