Did you do a firmware update or a factory reset to get to the state its in?
On the off chance, make sure the contacts are clean and you are using the correct charger cable, if there are several, and you have tried
plugging the cable into a computer.
The computer should make a noise when the watch is attached to the cable. If it permanently does a connect/disconnect noise then the watch is most likely faulty, probably from one of the operations mentioned.

Thanks seems like a fault with the update.
Probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.
If it is still under warranty [1 or 2 years depending where bought] and it needs replacing probably best to do that where you bought it in preference to getting a replacement from Fitbit which may not be new.
