Hi all. I'm in the UK and considering the Versa. Obviously 2 versions. I was going to go for the special edition for its NFC option. However when reading the press release about the Versa I came across the below footnote.

14 Fitbit Pay is available on Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Ionic: adidas edition and Fitbit Versa Special Edition in the Americas; and on all Fitbit smartwatches in APAC and EMEA.

To me this reads like the standard Fitbit will have NFC as I live in Europe.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case? Interested if anyone in the UK as purchased a standard Versa and discovered it has NFC?

I am not in Europe, but yes, your reading is right. There is no need for you to buy the Special edition to get Fitbit Pay.

Just purchased a standard one from Currys PC world and it does indeed come with NFC and fitbit pay...so far only one of my cards works with it but hopefully fitbit will add more banks in the UK soon.
