Versa Problems

Hi There,

Just wondering if anyone is in the same boat as me..

I bought a Versa on the 1st Sep 2018 and for the most part it has been a good device. Only had a couple of issues with notifications and after a factory reset all seemed to be working fine. I genuinely love the device and the app.

About 10 days ago my device stopped working as expected. It's battery wouldn't even last for even 12 hours. I read some forums and tried a few things;

- make sure you Fitbit and charger is clean and no damage
- turn off all day sync
- turn off all alarms
- I don't play music on it so that wasn't a problem
- do a 6 loop restart to try and get the battery to reset
- a factory reset

Then when trying to complete a factory reset, I got the error, "data not cleared. Sync and try again." Eventually after repeated attempts, I got it working again. Unfortunately, the battery life was still fried, barely lasting a work day.

Today I woke up and my Fitbit died during the night. I have tried to charge it and it just gets really hot and won't turn on.

It is 14 months old to the day. Is this really the life span of these devices? I previously had the HR and that one died as well and refused to turn on but I got a longer out of it than the Versa.

Really contemplating if investing in a 3rd Fitbit device is really worth it. I do love the Fitbit app and have been very loyal... but worried I'll have the same issue again and throw more money after bad.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
Kristelle
