After the update in December, my fitbit went dead and a new one was shipped. I set the new one up and text messages are not coming through. All other notifications are. Vibrations work. Calendar updates, app updates, facebook messenger-everything is a go EXCEPT for the phone text message app. I called a month ago and was told this was a known problem and they were working on it. I had already done all the recommended methods but we did them again via customer service. Nothing but a "wait for the next update." But, it's February and it's still not working. I bought my parents Versas for Christmas and there's work. I have a Galaxy S10+. Any help is appreciated!
Do a search of your phone model on the android board.
You will find that some Android S10 users are exoerisncing this issue. Fitbit is looking into it, I'm not sure if they found the cause yet.
It is much easier if every S10 was affected.

Best AnswerI have had the same issue for months and a friend of mine finally figured it out. I had a setting in my I phone on where when you get a text message to your phone the notification doesn’t show what the message says. It just say message from so and so. I turned that setting off and now I get my text on my watch again. Such a simple stupid little thing. Wish Fitbit could have figured that out. Not sure if this will help you, hope it does. Good luck
Best AnswerThere have been several fixes reported by several members, thank you @Dandn of course the fix for an iOS device probably will not work on android. Therefore it is important to know the phone model.
From what I understand, the initial problems when Apple tried to prohibit 3rd parties from receiving notifications has been resolved and most issues now are with settings.

Best AnswerI have everything turned on. Permission given. All of the above. Weird thing is a few of my best friend's have come through and randomly last night one of my sister's did. I thought this must have meant it was fixed. She texted again and nothing.

No it really hasn't been going on for months.
When the S10 came out their where some having sync, setup, and notification issues issues. This has been resolved.
Then recently there was some change to Fitbit, or the S10 with android 10 that caused issues with text notifications for some. Everything else seems to work
