Versa Swimming Lap Counter

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just purchased my Versa last week and was excited to use it for my morning swims.  However, I noticed that it only seems to track the laps I swim if I touch the wall with my hand?  I do flip turns.  I do not normally in a practice touch the wall with my hand with every lap.  Has anyone else found this to be true and is there a work-around?  It doesn't seem like it is a decent swimming app if it doesn't recognize flip turns.

@SusanAltmeyer Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Your Versa counts on the movement it detects to know what type of activity you are doing. This applies to lap counts too. If it is a continued swimming motion like the one you are doing then it will be difficult for your Versa to know when you complete a lap. You can read more about swim detection here. Still hopefully other members can share their own experience.

I'll be around!
