Versa Text Reply Display -Text Clear - Text Read Inconsistencies

I'm not seeing consistency in the "clear" option or the mark as "read" option. I received 2 texts back to back from a group session. I knew so because I heard my phone when they came in.  Only the second text displayed on my phone. I could not bring up the first one (so the second didn't have context).

It happened again, I tapped to mark it as read and the first text never showed up. Basically, marking as 'read' performed a Clear All function.  We need distinct differences between: Mark as read and Clear All.  The "Clear" button should be labeled as "Clear All" if that is what it is doing.  I expect "Read" --should not be clearing-all. 

 

I tried to use the canned responses to one text (just to see what was available) and when I attempted to scroll through messages it immediately responded when I touched it to scroll and the only options I saw was Yes & No.  "Yes" seemed to be sent but I don't see it on my phone.  Does that mean we can't tell if the response went to the recipient or does it mean group texts don't work but there is no way to know that?  Please test group texts and have a means to indicate on screen if the Versa can't handle it (such as "Group Text on Primary Device)

@BeBetter Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! If you miss your initial notification then you can just swipe down the clockface. You will see all stored notifications on your Versa and you will be able to read your group's messages, getting context on what it is being discussed and understanding what it happening keeping you up to date with the conversation. I also appreciate the feedback regarding the different options for notifications like the Clear option. If you wish to see a change for it then please share it in our Feature Suggestions board. The more votes an idea gets the more likely the developers will try to implement it. 

 

Regarding the quick replies I wanted to know if you have a compatible mobile device? You can try refreshing the link between your phone and your Versa. Start by deleting all devices in the bluetooth area on your phone then restart your phone an restart your Versa by doing the following:

 

1.- Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2.- Let go of the buttons.
3.- If your Fitbit watch doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again. 

 

Start your Fitbit app to sync both devices and check this article for more information about quick replies.
