Recently, my Fitbit Versa has started turning off randomly, even when the battery is fully charged. The only way to get it turn back on is to put it in the charger. At first it showed that the battery was fully charged still, until the last few days it now shows a 0% battery message when it turns back on. I have done a reset several times and also a factory reset. It has come back from the factory reset once, but only lasted for about 5 minutes before it shut off again. Anyone else having this problem? It started about a week ago and is super frustrating because I’ve only had this watch for 6 months!

Mine does this too. I just recently found out a restart will pull it back. But it happens frequently with my versa 1

Oh no! I am so sad to read this post. I just got my Versa 2 for Christmas just less than two months ago and I am having the same problems! I had my Blaze for YEARS and never had a single problem but then it stopped detecting my heart beat so I decided to upgrade to the Versa 2. I decided to go read some discussion boards to see if it was an easy fix but it doesn't sound like it. Mine is fully charged and turns on and off about 10 times a day! This morning I could NOT get it to turn back on. I had to attach it to the charger and let it charge a bit and then it turned on, but it was 80% charged! So no reason it should be dead. And as of today it's turned off at least 4 times. So annoying! And I am using a Fitbit clock face, but I'm afraid to do a factory reset since so many people said it killing their Versa completely.

I normally leave the clock face on a Fitbit created face. This should not affect this correct?

My fit bit suddenly went off last night. Battery is fully charged. I have had it only 3 months. Tried holding button down to reset but nothing happens

My FitBit vibrated and the screen went blank this morning. I put it on the charger even though it should not have yet been due. It is not waking up. I have tried to reset it but the screen remains black. I had my original replaced last August due to defect and this was my replacement. It has not been a year 😞
New Information: It will sync when on the charger. If not on the charger, it will not sync. There is still no visible screen.

I have done all this and then called FitBit Customer Care. We troubleshooted again. I was advised that my device no longer falls under FitBit’s 1 year warranty and was advised to call Square Trade as I had purchased the extended.
I tried to call, they are not available (even though the website says 24/7, then in another area due to Corona they available active call time are adjusted to 0500 to 2100 Pacific time. It’s 1217 Pacific Time currently 😑). I have tried to set a claim ticket via website link and waiting on email to respond to... this is arduous.
The Versa has no visible screen but will still track pulse and steps (can be seen through the iPhone app).
Blessings,

mine has just started doing this too. It will randomly shutdown and I have to hold down all the buttons to restart. Sometime when it does start back up it says 0% battery, even if its fully charged. It's done this twice today already. Just out of the one year warranty, which seems convenient

I'm having this same issue with my Versa2 and have tried all the fixes listed above: turning it off, restarting, plugging it in, using only fitbit watch face etc... It's now keeping a charge for less and less time and is not even reliable as a simple watch anymore. This was a gift for Christmas so I've only had it a few months. I really enjoy it when it works, but I'm getting annoyed.
