Versa adding steps while charging

Last night I had my Versa charging, and when I woke up this morning I had approx. 1,500 steps.  Pretty sure I didn’t take 1500 steps while sleeping, while I wasn’t wearing it, and while it was charging.  On the Fitbit app and versa face it says I have 2000 steps, but when I actually look at my steps/hr it says I have approx 500. It also changed the number of steps I had yesterday - it added approx. 3,200 steps from the time I took it off to charge and midnight.

I tried turning it on and off, and even deleted the device from my phone and reinstalled it.

Welcome to the forums!

Is the Fitbit near a vibration source like a fan, dehumidifier, or even a computer CPU? It can see the vibration as steps and add false steps. Though it usually adds a lot more steps when it is

You can enter a driving record to get rid of them

Try a restart

If you want to Delete Steps

Hope to see you around!

Hello!

so I tried to do driving,

but my problem is that the the steps added to my Fitbit aren’t showing up in the log. It’s  like the steps magically appeared without showing up in my time log. All my steps are accounted for today, but from the time I went to sleep to the time I woke up, it logs 0 step, but there are approx an extra 1500.
