Versa battery draining fast

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I got my Fitbit versa not even 6 months ago and now it won't hold a charge for more than 8 hours maximum! I'm a nurse and I love tracking my steps and seeing how many miles I walk in a shift but my battery won't last my 12 hour shift. Is this something normal for a Fitbit versa? I love my watch but there is no point in wearing it if the battery doesn't even last 8 hours. Thank you!

@JuanJoFitbitmy versa is doing the same thing.  It was fine until Monday.  Came to work with it at 89% and it was at 8% that evening.  This has never happened.  Normally get 4 to 5 days out of a charge.  I charged it Monday night.  It was at 99% when I left for work at 6:30am.  It died at 3pm.  I charged it last night and it was only at 49% when I woke up.  I even cleaned the contacts before charging it.  Now at 9am it is at 23%.

This is very frustrating.  And frankly a waste of time.

My friend has his set up through an android and he is not experiencing the problem.  Mine is through an iOS and I am having the issue.  My dad even had the same issue Monday with his.

Please give a better solution that cleaning the contacts and resetting as that is not working.  I have not changed anything on my end and I've only had it for 5 months.  I think it is due to an update that went out within the last week.

@tarynleigjI did a factory reset last night and I still am having the same problems today.  It was fully charged when I left for work and now is at 70%.

This is ridiculous.  All in a week.

Have you gotten any response that has helped you with this issue?  I am having the exact same problem and it started on Monday as well.  Mine won't even last through the night now.  I went to bed with 75% battery (after having to charge it twice during the day in order to use it) and it was dead when I got up less than 6 hours later.  I have done all the things that were suggested  and nothing is working.

@kgiffordI have had zero response from FITBIT on this.  Frankly, I'm fed up with it.

@tarynleigj @kgifford So I chatted with someone who is supposed to be sending me an email to test my battery.

I let her know that I thought this was ridiculous, how everyone is seemingly having the same issue that occurred at the same time, but nothing is being done in the same mass way to fix it.

If the battery test works, I will respond.  I'm not hopeful at this point.

So I called them. They want me to do the following:  charge it to 100% . Let it run down to 0 while using it like i normally do until the battery fully drains.  during the drain period I’m to sync it frequently. Apparently they can monitor it that way. Also, I made sure I have a Fitbit clock face and removed all that might drain the battery faster like all day sync, which I never had to

start with and turn off notifications. Then I need to call them back. I’ll

let you know. I still think this is because of some update they did as it happened fast and I hadn’t changed anything I was doing.

They told me the same thing.  Sent me an email with instructions.  But its still crazy in my opinion.

Mine just ran out at 8pm today, I’ve been having to charge it 2x a day for the past 2 days. The screen started glitching (numbers were lines and just all sorts of mess) and now it just seems dead 😞
