Versa battery is draining within hours and display isn't working

I thought customer support had fixed my Fitbit Versa that was displaying a black screen. It came to life again but has since died after only 3 hours of use at most. So I realize it's an abnormal battery drain issue. My 1 1/2 year old Versa has a battery that only lasts for such a short time? I don't think I will be buying any more Fitbits

Hi there @KAREN546, thanks for stopping in the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa is having issues with the screen and battery, I understand how you must be feeling. Thanks for the details provided in your post, I'll be glad to help you.

Regarding the battery short life, I suggest taking a look at this help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

However, as per the description or your post, it seems that your Versa is not having a sufficient power source when you charge it. Where do you charge it? Have you checked if the USB port or outlet is faulty? If you haven't done so, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work, please don't use a USB hub. For best results, don’t leave your device plugged in on the charger longer than overnight.

About the screen, please confirm that you've followed the steps below:

  1. Check in the Fitbit app if your Versa is still syncing, if so, try changing the clock face to a different one by following these steps: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?. The steps are done through the Fitbit app, do not worry if you cannot see anything on the screen for this process.
  2. Please confirm if you've restarted your watch by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If the suggestions don't work and your watch doesn't vibrate when you connect it to the charger, try these recommendations:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?

I'm looking forward to your response, keep me posted.
