Versa black screen

After looking online for help as to why my screen is black, I have done all of the trouble shooting I can think of and have come across. I am one more button push away from smashing it with my heaviest shoe. 

 

About a week ago, my fitbit versa decided to give up the ghost, I didn't receive a notification to my phone or a vibration saying that the battery was low as I had charged it the night before. Once I realized that the watch was no longer lighting up or vibrating with notifications I grew concerned. This has happened before where it would just turn off by itself and I was able to reset it by holding some buttons down. But after doing that this time, I was met with the battery symbol in red. I put it on charge for a few hours and then tried to turn it back on, nothing. The fitbit was hot from being charged so I know that it was charging but the screen would not come on. I then took it off charge to let it cool down before trying to reset it again. I decided I would try and plug it into my laptop to see if it was still alive and kicking. To my joy the backlight came on and the laptop made the connection noise! Huzah! have I managed to fix this heinous machine?  NO I had not. The screen is still black but the backlight is on and none of the light on the back are working either. I have tried holding all 3 buttons for 12 seconds and then releasing one for a factory reset- nothing I've tried holding down 2 buttons and only 1 button. But the screen is still black and backlit with no lights. I'm starting to think there's no hope for this fitbit as it seems to have kicked the proverbial bucket. I am a bit miffed as I have only had this for 7 months. 

 

I hope someone here can help- 

 

TLDR- Backlight works screen is black and the lights on the back no longer flash. Does not vibrate or sync anymore either.

I contacted FitBit after trying everything I could to get my screen to come on. It hasn't. They were very helpful and said it's warranty is sadly up and unfortunately it's probably not going to . I have had it for almost 3 years and I still think it was a great buy. It's working, charging and tracking as per my phone app, I just can't see anything. I have ordered a new Versa 3, Fitbit have a great deal and I am looking forward to getting it in 2 days.

Hi I have the same issue for the first time in 2 years. My versa is working and tracking but my screen is blank. I have tried everything, nothing! Fully charged it and let it die to see if I can get it to work.....................nope. Its working and charging according to my phone app but I can't see anything its blank...................I'll probably have to get another.................sad because it's been a great buy!

I also have no screen but it will try to come on after a reboot and will look like a old TV screen rolling with static energy. My Fitbit Versa 2 is only 15 months old,aargh. It seems to be tracking steps but not sleep patterns. 
It somehow went blank at 3am. 
I actually was awake by the bright light from the Versa.

I did not take my watch off and it did not track my sleep
