Hi, did you know that Fitbit don't offer a screen replacement if it's cracked? My screen has cracked and I've been told there is no repair service offered, that I literally have to throw this new, special edition, £220 watch in the bin! Any ideas, anyone else broken their screen? Horrified at lack of after sales repair service.

I had the same issue! I'm absolutely furious that they sell a product that's so incredibly fragile as a SPORTS WATCH! This is the third fitbit I've owned but the only one of the three that didn't last. Surely they tested the durability of the product before putting it on the market. How in the world did it make it past testing?!?!

I experienced the same thing. Seems like they are stealing our money if they won't cover an issue that is experienced within 6 months of purchase. I am so very dissatisfied.
Not even an offer or suggestion on how to repair it... definitely is not water proof if the face falls off or cracks from nominal wear.
Fitbit please offer us a better solution than saying sorry... your can buy another one... no thanks.

How did Best Buy resolve your issue? I purchased through them as well and my screen is cracked. 😔

I feel your pain. I accidentally tapped my wrist against the wall now my screen is cracked.
I tried searching for a watch place in my area who can replace the screen but couldn’t find anyone who can do it.
I really hope Fitbit can provide a solution for this. I really enjoyed this product that is why I didn’t bother to replace my Apple Watch.

@mikecyprus And all, purchase a Temper glass screen protector not a regular scratch resistant protector. I had a temper glass on my versa that I purchased from amazon. A faulty Band that I also bought from amazon broke, and the fitbit popped right off my wrist. Landed face down on the concrete. At first I thought the screen was totaled, but I remeber I had a temper glass on it! Peeled it back to reveal a perfect undamaged screen thank goodness. Sorry for everyone with cracked screens I know how disheartening that can be. If you do purchase from fitbit, buy the square trade protection plan. I bought this plan for an extra 50 dollars when I purchase fitbit off of their site. This plan covers accidentally damages including broken screens where the manufacture warranty does not.

Yes,there is insurance you can buy if you purchased your Fitbit in the last 30 days. It’s called fit/squaredtrade by Allstate. It’s a good deal.

I had a bike accident and the Versa screen cracked. But I did not mind because I thought I could get it replaced but I was disappointed when I found out that they don't provide after sales repairs for damaged watches. It's not like people damage their watch on purpose. I told the customer care that I'm willing to pay for the screen but they told me that they don't have any service centers anywhere in the world. I believe that this sort o product strategy is unfair. How would anyone feel if they had a new cell phone and its screen cracked and the manufacturer would not replace it even if they wanted to pay for the replacement?
I now have a cracked Versa which works fine. I don't feel happy to wear it.

I was told the same thing today. My device cracked after 4 months. And I don't remember it happening. This is the 3rd device that has broken from fitbit...

I am sooooo angry at FitBit. I have had probably 5-6 FItiBits. So approximately 4-5 months ago bought a Versa 2. So a few days ago, I go to get my FitBit off the charger and the screen is broken. I knew I didn't drop it and it was working fine when I put it on the charger. I always look at my watch to make sure it is hooked up and charging and when I put it on it was.
When I contacted FitBit they offered me 30% off on a new one. They told me it was outside of warranty (in less that 5 months????). I told them it wasn't an accident it was a flaw in their product. Here is the quote they sent me: Let us share with you that we appreciate your sincere feedback, and that it helps us to improve our produtcs and services on a daily basis. We also want you to have in mind that whatever decision you make up to this point, you are always welcome to the Fitbit family. I went to the discussion boards and saw many people that said the same thing -- it cracked when they were charging. There is no damage to the sides of the phone, etc. A brand that doesn't stand behind it's brand is what FItBit is. They make faulty product and don't make it right. UNBELIEVABLE.
