Versa - connection issues

So I JUST purchased a new Versa. It seems to be problematic from the get go. I have been attempting to connect and set it up since 1:30 pm and its currently 4:53 pm and its STILL NOT done.  The tech tried to say it wont connect to certain wifi situations none of which pertained to me at the moment. Finally after over an hour it connected via bluetooth but has been attempting to upload for the last 2 hrs. WHY is this one product so crappy. This is my 3rd fitbit and by far the worse already. Reading the comments makes me think this was a bad purchase. Anyone have any luck with it after a bad start?

it took over 3 and a half hours to download. Since then it has been working great. Updates scare me but for now im.getti f notifications and alarms work.

I have the same issue, until now I won't sync eventhough I waited to get home to have a better wifi. I'm afraid I have to return due to this issue.

I had to do it via bluetooth and it took ever minute of 3 and a half hours to update to the app and connect.  Since then it has worked great.  I hope not all firmware updates take this long.
