Versa constantly goes to Alarms

My Versa constantly goes to Alarms for no reason. This drains the battery fast and is annoying. Worse, the buttons to get out of that setting don't do anything. Something very wrong.

Hey @mfrenyea, it is great to see new faces around! Ok, let me see if I understood. So your Versa is going to the alarms menu by itself? If so, that sounds pretty weird, so let me suggest you something, please try to restart your watch by following these instructions:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If your Fitbit Versa doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

Let me know how it goes!

Hey @Lyndz13, it is great to see you around more often! Thanks for restarting your Versa prior contact us. Is it your Versa activating the alarms itself or is it just going to the alarms menu? If what happens to yours is the first scenario, try to deactivate all the alarms, then restart your Versa again and sync it. However, if what happens is the second scenario, please try to set up your Versa as a new device.

Let me know how it goes!

I am having the same issue, every few mins alarm is opening tried restarting, resetting can make it stop for a week or two but then it starts again. any solutions other than resetting every time as it wakes me at night when it happens

Hi, although I hate to give this advice, I would suggest to perform a Factory Reset, cause restarting did not work. Mind though that your Versa is brought back to the "In the Box" situation as being still in the factory. Meaning that you will need to setup your Versa all over again with your Fitbit App on your phone. The link tells you all about that. Good luck!!

Hey @Seenzie, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! Thanks for trying to restart your Versa to fix this issue. Like @SunsetRunner said, you can give a try to a factory reset, but keep in mind that all the data from your Versa will be deleted and you'll have to set it up again and download the apps you had already set.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes!

Hi! I recently bought my  Versa Fitbit back in November and since yesterday it keeps on going to the alarm setting without even touching it !! I have tried restarting and then tried factory resetting but it’s still doing it ! I have no active alarms being set up but it’s annoying that the screen for the alarm continues to pop up when I don’t need it to . Please help !!

My versa has also started doing this every few seconds. I have restated it, shout down it, factory reset and updated the tracker and none have worked

Hello @Stephen27495 thanks for joining the conversation, it's always great to welcome new members to the Fitbit Community.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would like to thank you for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. Tell me, when you swipe left to get to the apps, is the Alarm app one of the first ones you see? If so, it's possible some debris have accumulated on one of the buttons, which makes it press by itself thus, sending you to the Alarm app, as the when you press down the buttons on the right, they will send you to the first to apps set on your watch.

If this is the case, my best recommendation is to clean the side of the buttons with a toothpick or compressed air.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, give this a try and let us know the outcome.

I do not see a resolution for this yet...and mine is doing the same thing.  Tried the quick reset, and the factory reset.  Super annoying, and tempting me to get an Apple Watch.

Hi! Could you find a solution yet? Mine is doing the same thing...

Had this been resolved, mine has just started doing the same thing. I cannot get the Versa to Factory Reset either.

Unfortunately, no. They finally sent me a replacement, but I have decided to sell that and purchase an Apple Watch. I had issues with my Charge II, the Ionic, and now the Versa. I am done with FitBit. I hope you find a solution!

Is there a fix for this problem yet? I have tried everything and my versa is still reverting to the alarm screen. Fed up. It won't let me do a factory reset. Im not happy at all. These watches cost a lot of money!

Now mine is doing this same thing! No luck with several resets. Since the other steps didn’t help anyone I don’t even want to bother with a factory reset or calling tech support. This is my 4th Fitbit and I’m done. It doesn’t even give me an accurate heart rate anyway. I pretty much just use it for the time, which makes for an expensive watch without a second hand (especially one that doesn’t work)! The new iOS app update configuration sucks too. The only thing I liked on this was the sleep tracking and I can live without it ...

Fitbit live chat had me reset my clock face to a Fitbit click face, this seemed to work for a little while. Ultimately they sent me a new unit.
