i move a lot when i’m sleeping and it counted 1,600 steps already. i don’t want to log driving in cuz then it marks it as a weekly exercise. if i go onto the mobile app before and ‘start sleep’ will that fix the issue?

Hello @kinzdags, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, thanks for joining us! Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have brought this issue to my attention. Tell me, when you're sleeping with the Versa on your wrist, is there a fan or anything that may have been buzzing or vibrating near you? If so, please turn it off and monitor your sleep.

Now, if the Versa is not near a fan or anything buzzing or vibrating, please restart it by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen, then try to use it on your other wrist and monitor your sleep. Please note that if you start sleep tracking by tapping on "Begin Sleep Now" it's possible you won't be able to see Sleep Stages for that given record.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, give it a try and keep me posted in case you need anything else.

My versa has been doing this but a lot worse. The first night I was asleep it said I had 14000 steps when I woke up, which is a little excessive. I just logged it as driving which I hate doing and then restarted it. The same thing happened last night with 8000 steps and it didn’t even track my sleep I had to again manually do it and log driving. I am getting really upset with this. My sensitivty is on normal. Yes I sleep with a fan but I always have with my fitbit and this has just started so what is going on. This is ridculious.

Hello @Katiejano3, thanks for joining the conversation, it's a pleasure for me to welcome you to the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate you have let me know about this situation and the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment I would like to ask you to put on the Versa in your other wrist and check if the Versa is still counting steps while you're sleeping. If it is, please let me know so I can check this further.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, I'll be waiting for your reply.

I am also having a similar issue except my Versa is sitting on my nightstand all night! I woke up this morning and it says I have 8,000 steps and it won’t let me clear them to start fresh.

Mine is doing the same, I took it off to sync as it kept losing WiFi connection when I was wearing it and whilst sitting on a chest of drawers I took 1400 steps in a half hour.......

Mine did this yesterday and today while it was on my dresser and I slept. Yesterday it logged 8,000 which totally threw my day off. Then this morning I woke up and got it off the dresser and it was at 2,000 steps. I did a reset and when it came back on it had 3,000?!? Is there a way to fix this?

I woke up this morning to over 23THOUSAND steps registered... is there a way to reset the steps for the day? I want to monitor my actual progress... not whatever this is.
