Versa died in 2 months

My Fitbit versa stopped tracking my heart bit and when I tried to restart it died forever, after only 2 months. There were water inside the heart bit tracker what makes me doubt the water proof quality of these watches. I called them and they said they would send me a new one and after 10 business days I still haven’t received it. Emailing them they only say they sent it and it’s unfortunate that I haven’t received it in until 7 business days. And they said I must contact fedex 😞 they sent me one tracking number which is useless because it only tracks the arrival date of the package. The most important point is, if it was good it wouldn’t have died in 2 months. 200 dollars wasted. I should have bought one Garmin instead.

My 2-month old Versa died on Aug 13th and I contacted fitbit support. They sent me the relevant paper work and in their email explicitly stated that I would get a replacement on receipt of the broken one. They received my package on Aug 21st. I called them today (Aug 23rd) and was told that they will be checking the fitbit and send me the replacement after 5 business days. From your story, I believe I was being served a load of bologna. I believe that because I called them; they sent me an email asking me for my mailing address; I though I had confirmed my mailing address with support when I spoke to them the first time. Why the additional step? I'll keep this forum posted with updates, so that people can know the hoops and loops in getting your device replaced.

Hi Ashman, sorry to know your Fitbit died in 2 months too. Well, we called fedex and turns out the package with my Fitbit is lost...so they said we should contact Fitbit and say they need to initiate a lost package receiver search. So we called Fitbit again saying that and we asked them to send a new one but in a more efficient way (like paying more to be able to really track the package in case something wrong happens, then fedex would be responsible for that). Looks like they accepted that and are sending another one that is supposed to arrive here in 2 business days. I’m still waiting...

So I got my Fitbit yesterday after a faster shipment. The watch came with a small scratch and the battery lasts less than 24 hours. Yesterday it was 100% by 3PM and died in the middle of the night. I charged this morning again and it’s 7:43 pm now and my Fitbit has already 37% left. When I bought my new one at Best Buy in June it used to last 3 to 4 days, and I always had all day sync on, and received notifications of emails, text messages and calls. I have been doing the same since yesterday and this new Fitbit is dying in 24 hours.

I’m just giving up of it, and I’m going to buy one Garmin vivoactive music. My advice to all the people I know will be looking for Fitbits will be: Do not buy it.
