Versa died?

Hi!

Before I write anything else: I have checked other posts and followed the instructions several times. It’s still dead.

So I’ve had my Versa since February 2019 (5 months). Worked like a clock (pun intended). This morning, for whatever reason, it died - the battery was around 20% at the time, so I thought it could’ve been that, although strange. When I got home, I put it in the charger. Came back 15 mins after, screen still black and the watch itself VERY hot. Since I was worried that I might ruin the battery, I unplugged it and followed the instructions on this site (try off/on, reset, restart, re-blahblahblah ..) nothing seems to work. The screen is a bit lighter in the corners - so I think it’s just the screen that died. I came to the conclusion that I might need to replace the screen or the battery (if that turns out to be the problem), however it seems the customer support is pretty bad since I can’t replace pieces of my Versa, I can only buy a new one - which is utterly stupid since I spent 200€ on this.. any suggestions? I’d be very happy if someone could offer help..

thanks!

If you got it 5 Months ago, it'd be under warranty. Support is offering you options for buying a new one?

My Versa did the same thing a few days ago . I thought it was my charger so I bought a new one. That did work either. 😔 Never had a problem with my Fitbit Charge 2. Thanks for telling me not to waste my time with Tech Support.

Hi!

I don’t want to shed a bad light on customer support by Fitbit when it’s really not necessary, so here’s the update to my dead Versa:

I contacted Fitbit via live chat on Saturday (because I thought that would be the quickest  way to get my answers)       and lovely Jor took care of my problem (since he/she couldn’t solve it herself, he/she forwarded my problem). I got an email from customer support on Monday morning stating that they will send me all the information on returning the item and getting a new one, which I received today (Tuesday morning). So now I have to send back my Versa via DHL.

I’ll keep you posted since it might help somebody.
