Versa displaying vertical colored lines

My fitbit versa I bought a month ago is now showing coloured vertical lines down the display, and nothing else.

I've tried contacting support but the webchats dropped and their phone line was absolutely horrific

Hi @Casualfreakout, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying to contact our Customer Support team before posting over here. To resolve this issue, I recommend you to restart your Versa and if this doesn't work, trying changing your device's clock face following the steps that are specified on: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Let me know if further assistance is needed.

I've already tried restarting it but cant see anything other than lines to see if it's done and changing the clock face did nothing

Your update is appreciated @Casualfreakout.

I'm sorry to know that you're still experiencing difficulties with the display of your Versa despite trying the troubleshooting steps from my previous post. Because the previous steps didn't work, please try the following ones to factory reset your Versa:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

@RicardoFitbit

I tried and think I did it right (difficult to tell as the screen doesn't show the logo, just coloured lines), but it still isnt working, just showing coloured lines
