Versa going to different apps by itself

My versa will buzz on my arm like a notification. However it is the versa opening an app the most usual it the alarm feature and it will not revert to the home screen when the left button is pressed. I have to leave it until it goes back itself. Also has done this with the Starbucks app and no music transferred. I have not touched the versa prior to this occurring and I have been sitting watching tv therefore not even moving. Any advice please.
