Versa intermittent counting floors climbed

Before the software update it was intermittent when registering climbing the stairs. after the update it worked great for a week now it gone back to intermittent when climbing stairs.climbing hills it works ps staircase is 9 ft to second floor does this matter

I've found out why my versa didn't always count my floors climbed i sometimes used the stair rail with my left hand and i thought it counted the steps climbed but if you don't hold the rail an slightly swing your arm when climbing stairs in my home its works but it works on hills an inclines i found this out when i was treated to a new ionic so tried it with my versa
