I recently updated my firmware to 4.12 and over the last 2 weeks I am having trouble with the watch not recording steps. sometimes it will catch up later in the day and sometimes it does not catchup. I am using the app on a iphone xr
Some of the things I have tried when this occurs are rebooting the watch and the phone with the app on it. I turned the bluetooth off and told the bluetooth to forget the versa and then repaired the watch.
Also I have counted the steps during activity to ensure they were what I thought they were?
At this point there does not seem to be a pattern with this issue any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gary

Hi @garylb1, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa since it's not recording your steps properly. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.
I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Sync your watch before this in order to avoid losing current data.
Also, I'd like to share this help article, which explains how your Fitbit device counts your daily activity. Finally, monitor your watch during the next 48 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.
Keep me posted on the outcome.
