Versa is not tracking sleep properly

So I have a very weird sleep schedule, I go to sleep at 10:30 and get up at like 11-12 to brush my teeth (don't judge) and go back to sleep. For the past two days, my Versa isn't counting the minutes I've slept from 10:30 to 11/12. My old Charge HR counted those minutes and marked the times I was awake red like it's supposed to. But on my Versa, for example, two days ago, it said I slept from 12:28 to 6:39 and a big chunk of red at the beginning. When I clicked on it for further details it still showed 12:28 instead of 10:30. Yesterday, I went to sleep and stayed asleep like a normal person and it counted that. I know I can change the way I go to bed but do I really have to just for it to track? And like I said, my Charge HR counted those so I know Fitbit can do it. Is it just me?

I'm having weird sleep issues too. It's like everything works fine until about 5am where it thinks I wake up and stops tracking sleep. I get up at the same time every day (6:40)

My Alta HR would show times in red I've woke up but then obviously went back to sleep. The Versa seems to think I stay awake. And thats if it even tracks my sleep at all.. Just one of the many problems I'm having with mine.. Really ready to return it and just go back to my trustworthy Alta

Haha good luck. You'll get a copy and paste answer of restarting it multiple times and standing outside under a full moon with one arm pointed north and one arm pointed south....

@sarah_lin8, there's not a lot you can configure in the sleep settings that is going to help in your situation. Other than to check and make sure Sleep is set to Normal, and not Sensitive.

If you go into the sleep chart for that night, and click the pencil icon, you can adjust the start and stop times. Maybe if you try this for a few nights the Fitbit will learn better about your sleep patterns.

I've just noticed today that mine isn't quite right either, but the other way. It seems to be marking me as asleep when I'm not.

I wake up and lie in bed awake for a little bit before getting up. Today it had that time as in light sleep and even REM sleep - I know I was awake 'cause I was reading the news! I edited my waking time to remove it, but it makes me dubious on the accuracy of the whole night's sleep. Especially as my 'time asleep' each night jumped dramatically from the night I changed from the Charge HR to the Versa.
