My new Versa randomly vibrates. No messages, or calls are coming in. Also not set to vibrate to remind me to move.

A warm welcome to the Forums @Tholt.

I would like to know if you keep having issues with your Versa vibrating randomly? If you do, I recommend restarting it by doing the following:

  1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Robot Happy

They have sent two broken replacements and will not not help me. They said it was too unusual so they are sorry they can not help me I can upgrade at my expense for a Fitbit. They just repeated sorry for your inconvenience, you can purchase a new Fitbit. Would you suggest buying a Versa?

We have tried this and have not been successful.

Thanks for the update @Tholt. Since the troubleshoot provided didn't work,  I've gone ahead and escalated your case to our Support Team for them to take a deeper look at this, please keep an eye on your inbox for further instructions and let me know if you need anything else.

@Sanchez1 welcome to the Forums. Could you please tell me what is the issue you are having with your Fitbit? What troubleshoot have you tried so far?

If you have a watch face that allows vibrate on reconnect and disconnect in that watch face's settings, your watch will vibrate due to that. (see picture below for BEACON watch face settings)

Thank you for your thorough response.  We do have this option turned off.  Hopefully the support team will have another option to consider.  We recently bought 2 of the Versa's and are only having issues with one.

You are very welcome. Hope it gets figured out 🤗.

You could try force updating it like many of us have done to see if that resolves it. See my long post here on how to do it: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa/Versa-Firmware-Release-32-32-10-15/td-p/2690045/page/11

I too have the same problem. Random vibrate that last a second. No reason why. Tried rebooting and checked settings aleady. Any fixes yet? I have 2 of these. One special edition and a regular. Both have the random 1 sec vibrate.

Best Answer
No, we don't really have a fix. It is my husbands fit bit. He turned off he all day sync, and that has stopped the vibrating-but now he has to manually sync and he does not like that.

Mine has started doing this as well. Restarted and turned off the clock setting but continues to happen. What was your outcome?

Mine does the same thing - but only after it detects I'm sleeping. It wakes me up at least once every night. And I'm the idiot who still wears it to bed, but still. I've tried 4 different Versas (and 6 have passed through my hands - long story that I posted elsewhere on these forums, if you're interested) and they all do the same thing and support is really no help. They finally, supposedly, "escalated" my case yesterday, but I haven't heard anything. Do NOT let support gaslight you and tell you that you're the only one with the problem.

I'm having the same issue. Wakes me up at least once a night, I don't notice as much during the day. Have tried all the trouble shooting and turned all settings except it's still on autosync. Hope they can fix.

@TammyCNM12 I've been working with (more like harassing, since they don't respond) "escalated support." What's weird is that it stopped for a week or so. Then, as soon as I let support know that it stopped, it started again. I'm totally getting paranoid that they're doing it on purpose, because they hate me.

Their last suggestion was to turn bluetooth off on my phone one night. If it was bluetooth on my phone, though, I would think it would happen during the day, too. Also, unfortunately, Versa isn't a very good timekeeper. If it's not constantly syncing, it loses time.

Has anyone received a solution to this? Mine does the same thing and woke me up about 4 times last night. It's a very powerful single vibrate followed by the watch face lighting up very brightly (brighter than normal). I always turn my notifications off at night even though I use the sleep setting because I don't want it accidentally sending me a notification. It has been doing this randomly a few times a month since I bought it and it's very frustrating, especially when it affects my sleep and there really seems to be no reason for it. It only happens during the night when I'm sleeping. I've never experienced it any other time.

I have restarted 3 times and it continues to do this. I've only worn it for 2 weeks.

Get it replaced. Mine stopped randomly vibrating after changing clock face, deleting and re-adding app and resetting device multiple times. But at 53 weeks after purchased it vibrated 30 to 60 sec continuously and then never turned back on. It was out of warranty at 52 weeks. They did and me a 40% off coupon to purchase replacement.
