I've been swimming with my Versa for the first time today, i selected swimming through the exercise app rather than automatic detection. I did 1,500m. When i got out and checked my Fitbit App i had noticed that it had also counted over 5,000 steps as well as my swimming......as you can imagine I'm not overly happy about this since it is giving me a false step count.
I link my fitbit account to my weight watchers account where i gain points for exercise so as a result i am getting way over what i should get as a result of this false step count.
I have seen several posts about this on these community pages although they are years old so wasn't sure if there has been a fix.
Surely fitbit should realise that they need to program the software so that when selecting an exercise like swimming or cycling to turn off the step count.
Is anyone else getting this issue? Anyone found a workaround?
