Versa isn't tracking sleep

My husband's Versa is not tracking his sleep. I can see when my husband is asleep but the Versa shows maybe an hour of sleep all night. This has been happening for the past couple months.Totally frustrated!

@1compassrose Could you please verify that the heart rate was recorded for the nights Versa did not track the sleep? Are the sensor lights blinking? Just in case, please reboot your tracker several times by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo appears (for Versa Lite - press and hold the back button for 10 seconds). Also, please make sure your husband wears Versa tight enough and that you do not have any sleep presets set up in the Fitbit mobile app. If you do, please clear them, sync and reboot your phone and Versa.

It's great to see you around @1compassrose and @Marrrmaduke thanks for the input.

I am sorry to hear about your frustration. If your husband's Versa isn't recognizing his sleep information, I recommend trying the following:

  1. Manually sync the tracker. See instructions in How do Fitbit devices sync their data?
  2. Restart the tracker. See instructions in How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the tracker on your non-dominant hand.
  4. If steps 1-3 don't work, I suggest manually logging your sleep to reflect the time slept. See instructions in How do I change my sleep history?

Let me know the outcome.

well I finally got my  husbands versa and restarted it and now it seems worse than ever. My husband is totally disgusted with the versa. We both  had a Blaze for a long while before deciding to have my husband try the versa. We both had charge hr for several years without issues. My husband  just wants to throw his versa away and get an Apple watch. We have never had any issues this bad with our  charge hr's  and our  blaze . I don't know if his versa is  bad .

This is all very well but how many times am I going to have to reset my Versa Lite?  Mine worked for about a month, then stopped tracking heart rate altogether.  I eventually found the solution on this website and reset the whole thing (not a five minute process) and it has worked for about another month.  It tracks heart rate during the day but not at night so no complete sleep tracking records. I tightened the strap just in case, but it looks as though I'm going to have to faff about resetting it again.  This is not a satisfactory product.
