Versa isn't working properly

Versa is no good.

Why?

- Doesn't light screen when I look at it unless a press a button. Really? So I'm cycling and I have to press a button to light the screen to see my heart ratio?

- Always loses messaging function when charges

- Loses messaging configs when updating firmware

- Counts steps for me when I am cycling

And I don't even use music or other standard functions that I've seen people complain about.

What's up, Fitbit? Really? Fix the basics and stop telling us to restart our watches, please.

I can address your first issue, @BRCaldeira . You say:

Doesn't light screen when I look at it unless a press a button.

You can turn on the quick view feature on your Versa. With this feature, a turn of the wrist will wake your screen and show the clock face. So, if your select a clock face that displays HR, you will see it without pressing a button.  Below are the instructions from the Help pages

Hey, @SunsetRunner !

Thank you for this pointer. Unfortunately it doesn't work well. I tried it before and it's not responsive to my wrist's motion.

Cheers!

I have also come to hate this Versa. The wrist activated motion rarely works so I'm constantly having to press the button to see status which can be a real pain depending on the activity.

This display is really hard to see in sunlight.

But today came the last straw and I'm officially moving on to a different device. On a weekend trip to a new time zone with a fully charged Versa I tried to sync the device to display the correct time. Apparently the app and the device spent all night trying to sync and I woke to a Versa with incorrect time and 4% battery life left so now I'll have neither time or activity tracking all weekend. Every Fitbit I've ever owned has had sync issues. If this wasn't a gift I would not have bought it but in this state, it's worthless. I'm done with Fitbit.
