Versa keeps flashing Fitbit logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit versa was working fine this evening and then all of a sudden it tunes black and flashes the Fitbit logo. I tried restarting it my holding the back button and lower button, but it just keeps flashing on and off the logo. I just charged it last night so the battery was at about 75%. Any ideas?

Hi @Kujawae, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before to posting over here. Since the restart process didn't resolve the issue, please follow the next steps to perform a factory reset and let me know if the issue persists:

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. When the device successfully resets, please use the normal out of the box process of updating the firmware. You can check: How do I update my Fitbit device? for more details.

Take in consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc.

I'll be here if you need further assistance. Keep me posted.

Hello,

I tried the factory reset. Since the logo was flashing it was hard to determine when to let go of the bottom button. Tried a few times, but never got the watch to vibrate. It would stop flashing, but the Fitbit setup wouldn’t come on and as soon as I touched another button, it would start flashing again. Also I noticed that the lights on the back are no longer there. Any other suggestions?

thank you.

Good news! My versa has come back from the dead! No clue how it happened, but it’s working. I placed it in the charger (which I had done all night) after trying to reset it. Went back to get it 30 minutes later because it was syncing with the app, put it on and it worked. Whew!!
