Versa keeps turning off

Over the past day I've gone to check the time on my fitbit three or four times to find the device has turned itself off. I only have the press one of the buttons and then it shows me the logo screen and turns on to the time when it last shut down (i.e. it would say it was 7am when really it was 11am). I've tried to factory reset however it keeps shutting off in the middle of this process. 

 

I'm not sure what is causing it, I only get it wet when I have a shower and I didn't think that would do any harm
