Versa lite compatible with Samsung J7 Refine

Why is it that the Samsung J7 Refine is not listed as a compatible device for the Fitbit Versa Lite?  

I currently have a Fitbit Flex 2 and it is compatible and I have had no issues. 

Will the J7 be added soon?

@Kelmiller Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your compatiblity inquiry between your phone and the Versa lite. As you said your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You said it yourself, you are currently using your phone with the Flex 2 without any issues. If you buy the Versa lite you can try it out and see how it behaves with your phone. If you have any issues you can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Yes I do have a Fitbit 2 but I am unable to use all the features with my Samsung J7 as I did with my previous Samsung phone that is listed on the compatible list.  I dont want to spend the money for one and only be able to use a handful of the many features.
