Versa lite getting hot!

So for the last couple days my heart rate has been showing as way too high…. Even when I’m just sitting. So I did all the suggested trouble shooting, including factory reset, but didn’t work. So I just turned off the heart rate feature, which is  a bummer. Then today I was just sitting on the couch and it started to burn under my watch! I was frantically trying to get it off, but it did leave a red mark. There was a red light on the back and the back was so hot! I tried to chat with support but it wasn’t very helpful. Anyone have this experience? Any suggestions? I’m a little freaked out to wear it now. Definitely don’t feel like I can sleep in it. So sad because I love my Fitbit. Any suggestions welcome!!

Hi @nicingle - if the device gets hot there is some sort of internal damage, may be due to water getting in.

Do not wear it and it may get hot when charging, so don't charge it.

As it is not functioning properly chat via the Fitbit app, click profile photo, Help & support, Contact Customer support.

If you need to replace it the closest best one to go for is the Versa 2.

I actually chatted with consumer support this afternoon and they were not very helpful, unfortunately. Told me to try all tire trouble shooting things I said I’d done abs chat again if I needed something else. I never wear it in the water/shower so think it must be something else. Thinking I might move over to the Apple Watch. But I do love that long charge on the Fitbit! Good call on the not charging it. Thanks!
