Versa measuring wrong distance

Got a new versa last week and my first run measured ok. Then yesterday I ran two separate 5km runs both of these were in a measured 5km Route. The time measure correctly but the distance only showed as 3.2 km.  again tonight I ran a measured 8km route and it measured 4.96km. A friend ran beside me and her Versa measured correctly at 8km. It’s like it is measuring in miles but telling me the results in km. How do I change this to measure the distance correctly?  I have checked my setting and it’s in km and cm.Thanks in advance.

Hi, I think it has something to do with your automatically detected "stride lenght" since your distance is already in km. You can change your stride lenght by doing this: press in the dashboard of your Fitbit app the account icon, looks like a credit card. Scroll doewn to "Advanced Settings" and press it an then scroll down to "Stride Lenght", which is at the bottom of the page. Press it and disable automatically setup and press "stride lenght during running". In your case your stride lenght should be increased by the current shown amount by 1.5 approximately. So if your Stride Lenght is displayed at, f.i.,80 cm, multiply it with 1.5 so it will be 120 cm instead of 80. Hope this helps to get the correct running distances.

BTW, are you absolutely sure that your settings are in km's and cm's, cause 1.5 is exactly the same difference between km and miles. To check that for certainty, press the amount icon in the dashboard of your Fitbit app and scroll down to advanced settings, press that and scroll down to "Measuring Units" and press it. On top of the screen you will see "Track" or something the like and it will show either cm and km or feet and mile. If it shows the last one, choose cm and km and you do not have to change your Stride lenght!!
