Versa missing data issue

My Versa has gone off three times today that I met my goal of 20,000 steps. Once it goes off and I check it half hour to an hour later its lost most of the steps and trying to get the steps back up it seems like its not counting most steps either. I have reset the Versa and it hasn't helped?
